In all honesty, I probably should rate this 3 stars, but that final 900th issue is SO GOOD it’s getting an extra star. Every writer on Batman makes a Joker story at some point to give their thoughts on the character, and if this is the only one we get from Zdarsky then I’m more than satisfied. A multiversal Batman story is a hard sell after Snyder’s Metal events ran the concept into the ground, but the final issue here proved there’s still fun to be had with the right art team involved. Anything would spoil the surprise in store and I wouldn’t steal that moment from anyone.
