This was EXACTLY the romance I needed and I'm so glad it met all my expectations and I cannot WAIT to read the rest of the books in the series!

The nickname "sugar" did irk me though, buuuut we'll choose to look past this!

the sex scene at the bar during Teddy's birthday didn't really sit well with me. I get Luke's need to protect Emmy and all that, but grabbing a woman over his shoulder like a Neanderthal (exactly like the author herself pointed out) felt like out of tone compared to the rest of the book
