I found myself swept up in the mystery of what Poppy is and loved how she’s growing into a morally grey character. I enjoy her coming to terms with her feelings as it is reminiscent of any young person who’s been burned before going through the realization that they have fallen in love with someone. I find the way she handles Casteel’s betrayal. It’s a little quick romantically but it’s a romance book and by that standard their romance can almost go under the “slow burn” category. The ANGST is just *chef’s kiss*
