As Old as Time

I love the original Beauty And The Beast. But I think I may love this version more. It’s beautifully written. The cover is stunning, and a few time instead of reading the book I’ve just stared at the cover.
Belle is a lot less of a victim, she still kind of falls in love with the Beast. But they don’t instantly get married and then all live happily ever after. The Beast seems a lot more human in this, he actually ends up having a heart and you get to know more of his back story. You actually get to know about characters who seemed unimportant, and were ignored in the original. They actually seem more human. Finding out about Belle’s mother and the Beasts parents was amazing.
It’s probably not something you’d read to a child, but if you want a slightly creepy story to read on a cold winters night, this is definitely the book for you.
