Garlic and the Vampire is Bree Paulsen's debut middle-grade graphic novel about the tiniest of vegetables with the biggest of hearts. At the center of our story is Garlic, a lovable protagonist who struggles with anxiety and self-confidence around their peers. When Garlic is chosen by their fellow vegetable folk to confront the new vampire in town, they must learn to face their fears and never judge a vampire by his teeth. While it is written for a middle grade reader, Garlic and the Vampire is relatable for everyone –– not to mention the absolutely gorgeous art! I loved this debut and can't wait to sell it.
