Judy Blume is so good at writing the human experience. The life events of women in their midlife and their families comes across so well on the page. It's a quick and easy read, but full of feeling. This line in particular struck me as truth told through fiction - "Did children ever suspect what shaky ground their parents were on when they advised and comforted them?"
