thought this was a pretty disappointing sequel :/ i forgot how common it was back in the day for second books to be 80% filler full of boring romantic drama. i liked the development of rose and christian's friendship and some more world building, but otherwise... the romantic drama made me want to claw my eyeballs out. rose pining for dimitri and leading on mason gave me such bad city of ashes flashbacks. i ended up not minding adrian but initially he was really getting on my nerves; i have very little patience for this brand of snarky bad boy. also not nearly enough rose and lissa interactions for my liking.
