Based on the synopsis, this book had so much potential, but it just fell flat. If it were a short story, I might have liked it more. However, there wasn't enough character development and I was pretty bored reading most of this book :/ I really don't like feeling or speaking this way about a book, but I hope that van Arsdale's future books are better.
