Thank you for Ashley Weaver, the publisher, and NetGalley for providing me a copy of "Murder at the Brightwell" in exchange for my honest review.

This was an interesting start to a "cozy" mystery series. Amory and Milo are married and seem to have the life that most would envy. However, Amory and Milo appear to be married only on paper as they are often leading separate lives. When a former fiancé, Gil, asks Amory for her assistance in talking his sister out of marriage to an unlikable gentleman, Amory sets off to the Brightwell hotel posing as Gil's love interest, she stumbles into a murder mystery when Gil's sister's fiancé is found dead.

On the whole, this was a good start to this series. Though the main characters were pretty shallow, you could plainly see that Amory and Milo are in love with each other but desperately trying to hide their feelings. This is curious as they are married. It makes a reader wonder what brought these two together and what happened earlier on in their marriage to cause such a distance between them.

The actual murder mystery was laid out well. There were several possible suspects. I had not guessed who the killer was until almost before it was revealed. I will be interested in reading further in this series to see what happens between Amory and Milo.
