I enjoyed this 2nd volume more than the 1st. The characters are more mature, have grown and changed. Going through such an intense grief could only push them to evolve and I really liked the very genuine representation of these stages.

If they change, their relationships change too. Gradually, the 'childish' side of the book fade into something more serious. And suddenly, everything seems more important, the events, the words, the choices made.

I'm not a big fan of love triangles and I wouldn't call myself team Jeremiah or team Conrad. I'm team Cam Cameron, yes even though he wasn't in this book and probably won't be in the next.

The last few pages of the book leave us hungry to find out what happens next and to bring young Belly's summers to a close.

J’ai préféré ce 2ème tome au 1er. Les personnages sont plus mûrs, ont grandi et changé. Vivre un deuil aussi intense ne pouvait que les pousser à évoluer et j’ai beaucoup aimé la représentation très naturelle de ces étapes.

Si eux changent, leurs relations changent aussi. Petit à petit, on se déleste du côté ‘enfantin’ pour trouver un penchant plus grave et plus important aux événements, aux mots prononcés et aux choix faits.

Je ne suis pas une grande fan des triangles amoureux et je ne me proclamerait pas team Jeremiah ou team Conrad. Moi, je suis team Cam Cameron, oui même s’il n’était pas dans ce tome et ne sera sûrement pas dans le prochain.

Les dernières pages du livre nous laissent affamés de découvrir la suite et de mettre un point final aux étés de la jeune Belly.
