This was a great ending to a wonderful trilogy. I love how creative it was. My mind boggles at the imagination of the author. The world is intricate and well built and the characters are very dynamic and dimensional.

Karou is a multi-faceted character who I enjoyed traveling with on her many adventures to try to bring peace to the races. I was rooting for her and Akiva the whole way. But, even the secondary characters are strong and form a connection with the readers.

I listened to this book on Audio and I really loved the narrator and her ability to put on different voices, accents and personalities for each character. It really made the book come to life even more than the author's words already did.

There were times in the telling of this story where my breath literally caught and I had to stop whatever I was doing to just listen and make sure everything would be ok. I do think the fans of the series will be happy with how the story turned out. It was not really a happily ever after, but did lead the reader to believe it was headed that way.
