This is a new series for me and I will be going back to read book 1 asap. I loved Bernie’s character and she has a great team, well, apart from the insufferable DCI Worthless of course. Every scene he was in made me want to roll my eyes for Bernie. The chemistry between Bernie and her colleague Anderson also added a bit of lightness to the gory murder. This book kept me guessing and I was hooked until the very end. I definitely had no idea who the bad guy was which is always a plus. I can’t wait for book 3.
