A Limited Edition Murder by Lauren Elliott
3.0

This is the 10th book in this series, but it is written in such a way, and a lot of the past drama has been addressed, so it's pretty easy to jump right in. Especially since the MC is traveling, so most of the characters seem as new to her as to the readers. However, I feel like I could not connect / did not really get to know the MC. What makes her tick, how does her personality shine, what are her interests? It made her interactions with many of the other characters feel a bit off, possibly because I didn't fully understand her (she is not a chirp MC, more of a dramatic and serious one). I did enjoy the mystery and what a winding path it takes us. I also loved her relationship with her bestie Serena and also the romantic tension with the detective. There were a lot of gasp worthy moments near the end.

Note: I listened to the audiobook and actually do not think I recommend it because this narrator is VERY emotive and a bit over the top for what is actually happening on page. (I did love her narration of other books, just was a bit much for this one, IMO).

Thanks to the publishers for a free copy of this book!
