The Ill-Made Knight
by T.H. White
I liked this one much better than the last one in this series. The plot had more structure, and plenty of adventure and intrigue. The main characters were, of course, much better written, well rounded, and interesting.
There is a lot of psychoanalyzing going on with the deep unconscious motivations of Arthur, Guenievere, and Lancelot as they play out their love triangle. Some of it I liked and agreed with; some of it I rolled my eyes.
I found myself really liking and pitying Lancelot. He tried so hard, but circumstances and his own stupidity just made his life so difficult.
I think this might be my favorite book from this series!
