Stupid Boy
by Cindy Miles
4 1/2 stars!
Having read the other books in this series, I was keen to read this one as well.
The prologue was a gripping way to start the story and grab the readers attention and the first chapter about Kane was also intense and attention grabbing.
The idea of another dare as payback for the Kappa's dare was an interesting one and I was immediately thinking how interesting it would be because it looked like playing out with Kane of course, and because of his relationship to Brax, and Brax and Olivia's history with the Kappa dare themselves.
It was fantastic to see Brax and Olivia re-appear in this story, they're great characters who I enjoy reading about.
I found Kane to be a great character overall, but Harper comes across as slightly weak at first. Once you get more of a look into her history and what she's been through in life, you realise she is really quite strong.
I did feel there was an unanswered question at the end about why the cop from her past came to visit her.
Harpers grandmother was pure evil. I mean, who does that to a kid? Seriously. That said though - Kane's father was pretty evil as well. Again, not something that should happen to a child.
I loved the story and watching Kane and Harper connect. I felt the ending was great for the them, perfect even. I definitely heard up a bit with the kindness that Harper did for Katy and Kane.
Overall I really enjoyed this one and would recommend for Cindy Miles fans.
