working on trying to read through my unread @bookofthemonth books brought me to this one that i remembered @hannahbrencher loving, and it was a WILD RIDE. i was seriously spooked and on the edge of my seat for the first time part, then totally mystified and mind blown by the middle, and completely engrossed in the unraveling of the story as it played out toward the end! so many twists, great layers, bizarre characters and storylines, and a really captivating read overall. it gave me similar vibes to the grace year (which i LOVED) and even had some louise penny nods too!
