I'm honestly confused as to what was going on in this book. There was magic, thievery, and political intrigue, but I didn't get to understand the world. And my guess for that is because I was listening to it on 2x - my bad! The narration was gorgeous, I just have issues staying focused on fantasy books on audio. Trevor was easily my favorite character because corgis. But heists and betrayals are definitely my scene and Emily Lloyd-Jones's writing is so lyrical. Just a misstep on my part, nothing against this book.
