This was a slower-paced romance, but ironically I felt the escalation of the romance was a bit too fast. The third-act breakup and lack-of-communication tropes were definitely present, which I don’t mind but also don’t love. Overall, a sweet and relatable love story with well-developed characters that just fell a little flat for me at times.
