Stellar. Ward proves her chops (this book is her second time on National Book Award list after winning with her last novel in 2011). It's intricate and gut-wrenching. She expertly rips out your heart, rearranges it and gives it back and you'll find yourself better off in spite of rough time reading her story might present.

It's not what I wanted but definitely what I needed.
