» PLOT «
Author Darcie Wilder delves into her life in a series of short blurbs.

This wasn't a traditional story, so there was no plot. This book is not in chapters or sections, rather it's just a bunch of tiny paragraphs (or even just a sentence) one after another. Essentially, this is just a book full of random tweets that are barely strung together.

There is no story, and because of the poor connections between each "tweet," there is no coherent message or idea. We're literally just reading about someone who trying way to hard to be cool or unique, and it's simply not done well. I don't mind people who try too hard to be the shit, it's just that this book makes it seem the main character is succeeding and they really aren't. Not to mention they are so self-destructive, yet they have an air of "everyone is like this and this is normal, so I don't need to change."

Out of the hundreds of thoughts in this book, less than 20 of them are actually interesting enough to give a second thought about.

Occasionally there are just random things added in, and I wouldn't mind them, if they actually went somewhere. I wouldn't get bored of a 300 page book about distractedly making a PB&J, so long as the interjections were interesting, developed, or went somewhere. The ones in this book do absolutely nothing.

I liked the idea of small, easy to digest chunks of ideas and thoughts, but this does nothing.

» READABILITY «
For a really short book and a collection of very small blurbs, this was not an easy read. See the Writing section below for why.

» CHARACTERS «
*This isn't a traditional story with clearly defined characters, so the default rating of 3 is given.

» WRITING «
The writing is bad. It's not just that there is no proper capitalization, grammar, or spelling. It's the combination of them all that makes this book feel lazy and thoughtless. There are so many run-on sentences, and even if there were punctuation, each "tweet" would have random stuff added to the middle or the end to where the passage makes very little sense.

This was funny, in that it was cringey.
