Eat, and Love Yourself
by Sweeney Boo
A graphic novel that aims to help anyone with body dysmorphia and/or eating disorders, or anyone who just doesn't have a good relationship with food or their body. While I'm glad my parents weren't ever body shaming or controlling in what I ate, I do have a friend who did have a Dad kind of like the one in this graphic novel and it breaks my heart. Parents, people, friends: be aware of what you say to your friends and loved ones because it's your words that can hurt the most!
Story: interesting take but not as in-depth as I thought it could go. 7/10
Art: cute, but I have a thing against people drawing characters with large thighs and butts, but tiny waists and then calling them "fat". Cowards! Show me stomachs that hang down and wobbly arms and dimple-y, cellulite legs! 7/10
