A Girl Like Her by Talia Hibbert
3.0

the cover is awful and the story eventually gets boring, but it has some great dialogues plus the autistic mc, which was what made me pick up this book in the first place. i also liked the way the mc's past toxic relationship and its effects were handled.

one thing it kept coming to my mind while reading a girl like her was that even if you read it without knowing who its author is, you still would know it was written by a woman, because, besides the fact that it is a m/f romance, the love interest of the protagonist is so considerate, like a man who thinks beyond his social place in the world.

so yeah, the plot wasn't that good and i may not be in the mood for romance heavy books (or for romance books with insipid happily ever afters that consist predictably of marriage, kids and a white fence), but this one definitely doesn't suck.
