Touch the Lightning

Safety info, content warnings and tropes down below.
I’m just gonna paste the review I wrote for all three books 🕺 Loved book 3 so much.
______________________________
I really enjoyed these books, and actually enjoyed each book more, with the third one being my favorite (it has the most mortal peril so of course it was). I loved all the imagery and descriptions of the storms too. Really felt like I was there with them at times.
The dynamic between Tully and Jeremiah was fantastic. Tully is pure sunshine, full of love to give, a cross between a golden retriever and an adrenaline junkie, while Jeremiah is super proper, closed off, nerdy, and toppy as hell. There’s a lot of banter and fun, but it also builds in terms of emotional impact and more serious moments.
It’s really well balanced, wholesome, sweet, hot (NR can write great spicy scenes), and full of epic storm action. I will definitely listen again (book 3 especially), and highly recommend them ⚡️🌩️
There’s a prequel novella with a different couple you can read before this trilogy, but it’s not necessary to enjoy the main books. They make a little cameo but nothing big. I haven’t read it (yet) because I’m allergic to second chance 😌✋ (but it’s NR Walker so you know I’m gonna read it sometime because she’s got my trust lol)

Jesus. He adored my mother, and she had a real soft spot for him, but a compliment and a physical touch and a trip in a boat. He was going to need sedating.
Did I find it extremely attractive that he was so handy? Yes. Was the fact he could fix things a turn on for me? I was beginning to think it might be.
And that was probably the biggest difference between Tully and me. I grew up believing that to show any emotion was a sign of weakness. Tully grew up believing that love was the ultimate strength.
