Ranger
by Nora Phoenix, K.M. Neuhold
emotional
funny
inspiring
slow-paced
When I read the blurb to this book, I was sucked in from the start. And now after reading the book, I am even more in love. It's a story about acceptance, love, and some deaf goat tantics!
.
TW : There are mentions of war, death and a character who deals with PTSD.

First, I absolutely loved Julian as a Character. He was witty, charming and had such a sunshine personality, that pairing hin with Ranger just made him look even more delicious. Ranger was such a complex character and his struggle with PTSD was something that was done really beautifully. Hands down, Benny and PP were my favourites in this story. I'm not even kidding, I even thought about visiting a farm to just look at farm animals. I loved the chemistry between Ranger and Julian . It was drawn out and well developed without dismissing the effects of trauma as well. I loved that about this story. It's a beacon of hope and it ended that way as well. One particular grocery shopping scene with Ranger hit me really hard and I could see the character arc for him really well after that. Now I really want to read Lucky's story after his cameo and his advise for the First date!!
.
Overall, it was such an amazing read with discussions of war trauma, PTSD, love, friendship, acceptance and self love.
