Ok, so the first time I pick this up I got about 20 pages in and just could not do it, I was so bored. BUT... whenever I DNF a book, I will always (at some point), try again on a different format. So I borrowed the audiobook from the library, and hot damn, I am so glad I did!!
This is the first book by Patrick Ness that I get the hype for. I think it was entertaining and fresh, a great premise that was fairly well executed.
Although I can not speak to the OCD rep, I did really identify with the POV of a close, support system for someone overcoming an eating disorder. I do think that that was handled with respect and dignity.
A part of the ending really did not sit well with me, just due to the message it could send about 'quick fixes/cures' relating to mental health, however I am conscious that it was part of a bigger discussion.

Overall, this was a really fun, quirky read and I smashed it out in one days worth of driving/mobile sittings.
