I think I would have eaten this up when I was a teen or pre-teen. I’m an adult now, and I know I’m not the audience for this. I really just found it “ok.”
There wasn’t anything special about the writing style or any lines that spoke to me. I felt like I was thrust into the middle of an action movie where I didn’t have much backstory about the characters or how they’ve come to know each other. I thought the powers they all had were pretty interesting and unique, but that’s pretty much it. I also thought the whole “the Russians are the bad guys” was a little too cliche.
