Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak
5.0

The book is so captivating that one actually feels what the people went through during the Russian revolution.
The commoners bear the brunt of any war or a revolution. In the process they lose not only their jobs and homes but also their loved ones. I felt very bad for the women as they had to look after their families in the absence of their husbands and having no source of income. All struggle: Tonia, Lara and Marina all the three wives(? )of Doctor Zhivago . I couldn't accept the fact the Doctor Zhivago had 3 wives, although I know that it is that era!
Doctor Zhivago is a multi talented doctor, who is also a good  writer. His poems are beautiful.
I love the ending where the true identity of Tania is guessed.
The book is an easy read and I enjoyed reading the philosophical discussions and the discussions relating to the on going Russian revolution!
