Thistle Grove empowers four long lines of ancestry. Each family competes every 50 years to determine who is to govern the town. Emmy is a witch who left Thistle Grove to get away and become something of herself. For this year's competition, Emmy has returned to participate but as secrets unfold she discovers her strength and even falls in love. Fueled by revenge and unexpected friendships, this competition becomes the start of change.

I love Emmy's character growth and how most of the characters are likeable. The plot was very interesting with vintage witchy vibes mixed with today's modern world.
