A Very Accidental Love Story
by Claudia Carroll
I do enjoy Claudia Carrolls writing but I definitely enjoyed Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow better than this one. And I think the main problem is because of Lily...
I know what you're thinking, the whole storyline is about Lily's dad blad de blah..and I know, I get it but I'm not a major children person in life anyways so I find them distasteful in books and I just HATE HATE HATE this obsession authors have about writing the way children speak...the 'pwease' instead of 'please' and pwomise and gahhh...no, just let them talk normal ok. I find reading that kind of language just off putting and made me think Lily was just an annoying little prissy girl instead of this adorable little angel she's suppose to be. I also found her a bit advanced for a two and a half year old.
Other than that glitch, the storyline was good and clever and despite not warming to the main character until she actually became human, overall it wasn't a bad read. Just next time, make Lily the shadow in the background and don't actually make her talk...ok?
