Okay I'm going to say it........I DIDN'T LIKE THIS BOOK!!!!........Phew, that was easier than I thought!
It could have been really good.....but it wasn't, it was dull, dull, dull!
Katsa is graced, you know this because she has 2 different coloured eyes, graced people are basically gifted with types of superpowers, not flying and stuff, but fighting, mind reading, weather watching??, things like that.
Katsa is a fighter, a great fighter and nobody can beat her, she lives and is being raised by her uncle, who also happens to be the King.
She does all of the Kings dirty work for him, torture, maiming that sort of thing!
She does not agree with what the king asks her to do, so she has formed a secret council, that basically keeps an eye on all of the seven kingdoms in the realm.
Still with me ??............
Someone from the council brings a mission for her to go on, and then she is off all guns ....umm arrows a blazing!
Here we meet Po, I think we are supposed to swoon here.......go ahead I'll wait.......
Okay finished?
Po joins Katsa on the mission and this is where the fun starts, be prepared for an intense ride.......Yawn!!
The usual YA love starts, but in this instance Katsa does not want to marry, doesn't want to be tied down to a man.......Girls Unite.!!, I'll just wait while you burn your bra, as this book is full of feminine rights **pumps fist in the air**
Katsa and Po?!?! It didn't work for me at ALL, it doesn't really state the age of them but we know they are young, and depending how young they are meant the sex, although a small mention was a bit icky for me.
I think this is a love or hate book, sorry but I hated it!!
