I didn't expct this to be brilliant, but still... I thought it could be a fun read? And the plot sounded interesting.
I must say, for the first half I actually found myself being entertained. I think I like the idea and wanted to see where it was going. Despite that, the lack of depth of anything just became too unbearable. No world building, not much character growth, didn't care much about anyone, not even the romance element. Nothing felt particularly believable.
Basically, the idea is interesting but the writing is just not good enough to make me enjoy the reading experience.
