Love & Other Disasters
by Anita Kelly
I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book before I began, but gosh golly darn it, I'm in love with it.
I'm in love with the characters and Dahlia's energy and vibes, with London's stress and sureness, with Barbara's comfort and aura, with Julie's support, with the reconciliation and fixing of so many broken familial relationships in this story, with the "nicely tied with a bow but not too cheesy" ending and just the overall sense of joy and rightness I felt when I was done.
Overall, I loved the relationships and weaving of communication in the book. Every time London and Dahlia communicated about their relationship, emotions, or more sexual matters, it felt so right and honest and pure. I'm obsessed with that.
Side note: I finished this via audiobook, so I've never actually seen the spelling of anything. And also, the audiobook was fabulous to listen to as well.
