This was a really captivating fantasy inspired by such beautiful myths, history and culture. I absolutely adored Mehr and Amun. The writing was great and the world felt so real with the prose and descriptions. In the beginning the writing could be a bit bland i.e. “I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding” lol but those moments are few and far between and don't really appear after the first quarter of the book. The Magic system was really interesting, beautiful romance with an emphasis on the importance of true want and choice, and an engaging villain. Overall, a great fantasy! Once again, Mehr and Amun have my whole heart <3
