Ivan Coyote is a good storyteller but I have to read their book Rebent Sinner in small takes because it's just as gut wrenching as it is relatable. I keep going back and forth between crying with tears of happiness at the stories of affirmation and crying tears of sorrow and rage at the injustices.
Coyote knows how to blend sincerity and light sarcasm and countless other tones into this book. Its good, it's so good. If you need a book to read for pride month, read this one.
