At the start and throughout the book, it reads like it's intended for teens. As a non-native English speaker with average vocabularies — this was journey.
It was interesting how the author used foreshadowing so early in the chapters that you can't help but plough through. I think there's a good balance between the characters' academic endeavors, social life, their dynamics, and the larger story at play.
