An amazing love letter to NY, and a celebration of diversity (that at times was Too Real to read). That the enemy is colonial Whiteness, and gentrification, is peak storytelling. I love that the paranormal elements reclaim Lovecraftian storytelling from Lovecraft, exalting all the voices he once dismissed as Other.
