Snowed Under is a feel-good, laugh-out-loud holiday romance that combines classic rom-com vibes with small-town charm. This third instalment in the Silver Pines series brings together Ainsley, the sweet and slightly geeky heroine, and Cole, the town’s lovable bad boy with a hidden soft side. Though part of a series, Snowed Under works well as a standalone, giving readers all the warmth and wit without needing to have read the previous books.

Ainsley and Cole have a “fake dating” setup that kicks off with hilarious banter and playful antics, as Cole steps up to help Ainsley show her ex what he’s missing. The catch? Cole has been secretly crushing on her since a speed-dating disaster, and the fake relationship gives him a chance to show her a different side of himself. Their dynamic is a joy to watch as the chemistry and tension between them build, sparking sunshine-versus-sunshine moments and a hilariously intense snowball fight.

What makes Snowed Under especially charming is the quirky cast of Silver Pines characters who add to the cosy, small-town holiday setting. Mackenzy and Dakotah Fox expertly balance humour and heart, making Cole and Ainsley’s journey one that’s as touching as it is entertaining. Cole may have a reputation as a heartbreaker, but he proves to be the perfect fake boyfriend, winning not only Ainsley’s heart but also readers’ hearts with his genuine warmth beneath his bad-boy facade.

This book is ideal for anyone who loves a holiday romance with plenty of humour, feel-good moments, and a satisfying happily ever after. With its charming characters and festive setting, Snowed Under is a delightful addition to any holiday reading list.
