This is not it. I don't know where in the editing process this book fell flat, but everything about it was wrong. The main character is a know it all/Mary Sue. Modern lingo is expressed relentlessly. Our MC refers to darker skinned people in a country that is not her own as 'terrorists' and had no ambition or desire to learn about them until one of them was hot.
