ARC from Edelweiss and Avon for an honest review.

Eva Leigh's current series is using 80's movies as the basis for her historical regency romances. I know, it is sheer delight. This book is the second in a series. The first chapter is The Breakfast Club with five males, different walks in life and Rakeish, in a library who make a pact to be life-long friends. You sold me right there, but Leigh takes it a step further and adds ANOTHER MOVIE. This one around is Working Girl (which as of writing this I know but have not seen, and I am 36, but I will fix that ASAP).

The male in question is the Rakish of Rakes known as Duke of Rotherby, Noel, is also smart and likes to invest in things. He meets and instantly falls for Jess McGale, who is in London to open up the townhouse for her employer. Within a day of being in town, Jess finds out her employer will postpone for a week, which gives Jess home and time on her own to attempt to raise open for her family soapmaking business.

Their meet-cute is full of banter. While lying and falling in love, both will have to make decisions about if love conquers all and lies forgiven. Can a Duke love a girl that is just a farmworker?
