This is the latest book that has given a hangover.
This book to me is a prime example of a friends to enemies & slow burn that is brilliantly done!
The first page sets the tone by giving you a blurred line definition of love & hate. And it really makes you think (obviously this is a case by case scenario).
I knew pretty early on that Josh was going into my Book Boyfriend list. He was confident, sexy, smart & caring. I love how her brought out her confidence and knew she had fire in her.
This was a slow burn but you got enough teasing throughout the book that made it allll worth it in the end.
And a favorite line from Lucy really is what we all look for in a partner:
“He’s seen the sweating, vomiting, feverish, and asleep. He’s seen me angry, frustrated, scared. Horny, lonely, heartsick. No matter how I look, it never seem to faze him. He always looks at me exactly the same way.”
Also, check out the movie that was just released. It is not perfect but I found it still enjoyable!
