Thank you to Tandem Collective Global and Wednesday Books for the gifted copy of Wayward Son! All opinions in this review are my own.
While I found the first book in the Simon Snow series, Carry On, a little corny at times, I really liked the characters. I loved seeing Simon and Baz get together in the first book. Because of this, I think it took me some time to get into the second book.
I liked the road trip aspect of this book, but I did miss being at the school. I felt like it was more focused on the characters' misadventures rather than their relationships with each other. The only thing the sequel seems to share with the first book is the characters.
At this point, I do not think I will be reading the third book.
