Things We Never Got Over
by Lucy Score
3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
I liked this book. I didn’t love it though. The side characters carried it through. Don’t get me wrong, I loved Naomi, but I loved Waylay, Nash, Naomi’s parents, Stef, and the rest of the town more than the two main characters.
What I liked:
- it was a solid romance between Naomi & Knox. They had great chemistry.
- The banter was fantastic. I loved it so much
- WAYLAY. I absolutely loved her character. I loved seeing her develop and grow under Naomi’s care.
- Stef. All the great lines from this book belonged to him. I’d read a book just about him.
What I didn’t like:
- Knox. I didn’t hate him. But I did hate the way he spoke to Naomi sometimes. He just acted so entitled half the time and I wasn’t a big fan.
- The crime side to it. I think that whole side plot could have been cut out and we still would have gotten a good story.
Overall, I did enjoy this and it’s a great book to binge.
