I enjoyed this, read it in a sitting in a miserable evening that was all too good for ghosts despite the season. I liked the framing of it, the idea that, just as with the green men series, we were only allowed glimpses into the lives and love of these two and that it was their own choice how much or how little to reveal. Some of the stories were delightfully creepy especially when Mr Parker made his all too horrible appearances. I also really enjoyed how much Charles' delight in the setting was clear, the references to other works and myths and stories.
