These Witches Don't Burn
by Isabel Sterling
Witches, romance, and a mystery. Things I love in my books-okay, take out the Witches part and put it into a broader term of fantasy, then that will be my perfect combination.
We all have heard of the Salem witch trials, so let’s move to present day. There are indeed witches in Salem, but they act like normal people, but they keep their magic a secret.
Hannah is a witch and dealing with a breakup and her ex is also a witch, so things get a bit complicated.
She suspects that their is a bloodwitch in town, which is bad, really bad.
Terrible things happen and certain witches get targeted. There is either a bloodwitch or someone from their town is hunting them one by one, but who could it be?
When I first started reading These Witches Don’t Burn I felt a meh overall feeling about the book. I felt like I couldn’t connect with Hannah and felt like the book was dry. Yet, as I kept reading, I started to enjoy it more and more. I really loved the mystery of the book. I did guess who did it, but that still didn’t take away anything for me.
