This novel does not live up to the hype.
It starts off well enough. The world is interesting. Misery, the FMC, starts out as a snarky and fun character.
Unfortunately it doesn't last.
Lowe, the MMC, is a flat character. He isn't much more than a bunch of muscles who flexes muscle and is kind of sad... But tough. He has a bad haircut. He is supposed to be an architect but he has the personality of a CFO. Snore.
The story is kind of dull and predictable.
The spice is not memorable. I don't get off on this scenting scene everyone raves about.
Once again vampires fail to impress
