I love this series, so when I saw the audio books through my library, I had to listen for a different experience. These books will always be near and dear to my heart and the audio book was just the same.

With Tim Curry narrating, it just made it all the better. Like anything to do with the Unfortunate Event series, the audio book is extremely different than any other one that I have listened to.

There are sound effects and different voices and of course, quirky writing that keeps the readers, in this case, listeners, engaged.

I will say, all of the extras did take me a chapter or two to get used to, because I am accustomed to just narration, no noises in the background and I typically enjoy that more, but after I got used to it, the audio book was more enjoyable to listen to and it was another wonderful way to bring the sad, terrible story of the Baudalaire's to life.
