» PLOT «
In a castle, at the beginning of a winter that is predicted to last for three years, Lars is battling illness, boredom, and the pressures of family life. Locked inside for the duration, he passes the time playing with his siblings and his giant cat, Nemo, while tensions within the family begin to simmer…

The premise is nice, especially the giant cat and three-year-long winter, but not much was done. A lot of stuff was underdeveloped and unexplored.

» READABILITY «
This was pretty easy read. I read this in my car while an earthquake was happening and shaking the car.

» CHARACTERS «
Low key, I couldn't distinguish many of the characters from each other. And each of their internal struggles aren't well developed/explored.

» WRITING «
The writing wasn't special, and a lot was pretty vague.

» OVERALL «
Not bad, I did like the premise. The book just didn't deliver.
