One of my undergrad lit teachers recommended this book to me as a "beach read for smart people" and I fell in love immediately. I read it one sitting and went out to search for the rest of the series. I desperately wish LiteraTec was a real job and recommend this series to everyone. You don't need to have read Jane Eyre to understand the plot and references.
