Lord of the Hunt
by David Craig
Blog tours are good way to discover new authors and I was happy to discover this new to me gem as I thoroughly enjoyed.
It’s a great mix of urban&dark fantasy with some horror moments. It works well and I couldn’t stop turning pages as I was hooked and wanted to know what was going to happen.
The author is a good storyteller and the plot flows, never drags. It’s an engrossing and highly entertaining story that makes travel to a parallel universe and a very dark Glasgow.
The world building is complex and very interesting. There’s a glossary at the beginning so and it helps as there’s plenty of characters and I liked how the author was creative in using concepts and type of supernatural creatures in a new way.
My favourite characters are Lady Delaney and Kerry Knox, two strong willed and very clever woman. The character development is very good and the villain are quite impressive.
I started this book and stopped because I wanted to read the first one in this series, Resurrection Men, which is also a very good one.
I can’t wait to read other books by this author as I think he delivers gripping and highly entertaining stories.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to David Craig, Elsewhen Press and Rachel's Random Resources for this digital copy, all opinions are mine
