Six of Crows
by Leigh Bardugo
I loved this book. The plot-line, the characters, their world.. Everything was so amazing to me. All of the characters were so thoroughly thought through and having chapters dedicated to certain character's perspectives helped you get a better understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and story. That being said, I wish more of the story was dedicated to Kaz's perspective. Having these chapters that were following his perspective really helped you understand what he really was like. You couldn't really get that from the other characters alone because Kaz was such a sheltered person. But I adored his character. He's witty, sarcastic, and mysterious with a very strong reputation. The rumors that would float around about 'Dirtyhands' were intriguing and it was wonderful how his backstory tied into how he became present-day Kaz.
This book was not boring. Each person had a specific strength and a weakness that just made them seem even more real. The plot twists were also really great. I wish the second book was out already but I'll just have to wait. I loved the world that was created in this book and I can't wait to read the rest of this series along with the Grisha Trilogy.
